The application of a multiblock structured approach for the solution of the 1D(one dimensional) Burgers equation in distributed memory parallel architectures is illustrated. Numerical results and parallel performance concerning the use of two explicit methods and one implicit method to solve the Euler/Navier-Stokes equations are compared.
