摘要

Ohio Department of Natural Resources proposed to develop a fisherman's access along Lake Erie in Danbury Township, Ottawa County, Ohio. Archaeological Services Consultants, Inc., inventoried the 14 acres near Lakeside, Ohio. Sewerline, access roads, and 1920s-1940's structural remnants disturbed much of the area. Woods, tall grass, and weeds covered the remaining area. Consultants excavated 133 test pits and surface-collected access road and graded locales. They also used power equipment to examine soil strata beneath high density rock and gravel along the shoreline. The five archeological sites located are considered ineligible for the National Register of Historic Places, primarily being restricted debitage scatters and all having been extensively plow disturbed.
