The report is one of 17 case studies on the management of the Metropolitan Atlanta Regional Transit Authority (MARTA). This study directs attention to the personal reactions of selected individuals to a social process, which is the unexpected and involuntary relocation of the elderly to another residence. More specifically, this report traces the impact on older people in six cases, both individuals and couples, who were relocated by MARTA between 1973 and 1975.
