摘要

Public Law 93-508 placed a 50 percent employment requirement on all vocational courses approved for training under the GI Bill. The Veterans Administration (VA) Administrator has determined that in order for schools to comply with this requirement, they must submit acceptable evidence for each of the approved vocational courses to show that at least half of their graduates in the most recent two-year period are employed in the same or closely related field for which they trained. The data collection system for this analysis of the 50 percent employment requirement involved several organizational units including graduates, schools, and the State Approving Agency (SAA). The results of this report are based upon the response of more than one million graduates enrolled in over 25,000 courses. The report concludes that the overwhelming majority of approved vocational courses for which a report was submitted met the 50 percent employment requirement. Included are tables and the Occupational Graduate Employment Report form for schools.
