摘要

Palaeoecological studies based on mammals communities are numerous. They allow to reconstruct palaeoenvironmental and palaeochmatic conditions contemporaneous of the human populations during the Quaternary Carnivore species are little or not considered in these studies. This paper presents a new method, exclusively based on the carnivores. Using some eco-ethological parameters (social, food and locomotive behaviors) of the current carnivores, it is possible to infer the degree of opening and/or of closing of the environment. The aim of this work is to show how it is possible to use carnivores as « palaeoenvironmental indicators », like herbivorous species and micromammals.
