摘要

Abstract. - Simpop is a model which simulates the emergence and the evolution of a settlement system on a period of 2000 years. It is the result of a collaboration between geographers and specialists of artificial intelligence and it is based on a multi-agent system approach. The basic principle of this approach is that from local level interactions emerge coherent structures at a higher level. This property enables to modelize some hypothesis about auto-organization mechanisms in the dynamics of a system of cities. Different sets of parameters and of initial spatial distributions have been tested and the results underline the key role of spatial interaction mechanisms and of innovation diffusion, in the hierarchization of a system of cities.
