In this paper a pilot project to develop “dialogic teaching” within a primary school is described the background to the project and some of its implications are also described. This project has involved both school and Higher Education Institution (HEI) colleagues and has strengthened the links between the two as they have worked together, in a pragmatic, problem-solving manner, to implement pedagogical and curriculum change.
