Provided is a single photon detector for regulating a superconducting nano wire, and a preparation method therefor. The manufacturing method comprises the following steps: providing a substrate (11); forming a stressed superconducting nano wire on a surface of the substrate (121/122); preparing a superconducting nano wire single photon detector on the basis of the stressed superconducting nano wire. The provided superconducting nano wire single photon detector ensures that a film layer of the device material has a certain thickness, may also lower the critical temperature of the device material, and further ensure the uniformity of the device material as well as a relatively small transformation temperature width, thereby improving the detection efficiency of the device.
