The invention relates to a system (1) for collecting respiratory air aerosols and respiratory air condensates. Said system comprises a mouthpiece (121) and a respiratory air conduit (11) in which at least one connection unit (123) for respiratory air aerosols and respiratory air condensates and at least one pump (15) are arranged. A pressure sensor (18) is arranged on the respiratory air conduit (11) between the mouthpiece (121) inclusive and the collection unit (123) inclusive. An electronic control unit (17) is designed for open-loop or closed-loop control of the pump (15) in accordance with sensor data of the pressure sensor (18). According to a method for collecting respiratory air aerosols and respiratory air condensates by means of the system (1), the pump (15) is controlled on the basis of sensor data of the pressure sensor (18).
