To provide an utterance rhythm conversion technology by which, even in the case where there is no voice signal obtained from text identical to a voice signal to be subjected to utterance rhythm conversion, utterance rhythm conversion can be performed.SOLUTION: An utterance rhythm conversion device includes: an input voice feature extraction unit 4 that, using a rule obtained by associating a first utterance rhythm which is an utterance rhythm of that phoneme of a first voice signal and a second utterance rhythm which is an utterance rhythm of that phoneme of a second voice signal corresponding to the first voice signal as an utterance rhythm conversion rule, obtains an input utterance rhythm which is an utterance rhythm of each phoneme of an input voice signal and a feature quantity of that input voice signal; and a voice synthesis unit 7 that, on the basis of the second utterance rhythm associated with an utterance rhythm conversion rule associated with the first utterance rhythm that expresses the input utterance rhythm best among a plurality of previously prepared utterance rhythm conversion rules, generates a voice signal obtained by converting the input voice signal using the feature quantity of the input voice signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
