The present invention relates to a Sphingomonas SP. C8-2 strain for removing the toxicity of chemical sterilant remaining in soil. More specifically, the present invention relates to a Sphingomonas SP. C8-2 novel strain, which is newly separated for biologically decomposing a chemical sterilant remaining in crops and soil due to continuous use of the chemical sterilant, and a method of removing the toxicity of chemical sterilant remaining in soil by using the same. According to the present invention, as the Sphingomonas SP. C8-2 strain is applied to contaminated soil, the present invention is capable of detoxifying triazole-based sterilant in soil while at the same time preventing an influence on beneficial microorganisms in the soil, thereby being used for purification of the soil.
