The present invention relates to an IPMSM torque control system which applies the optimum threshold current and creates an accurate torque. The IPMSM torque control system of the present invention comprises: a reference current generation unit which adds reference current (Is) to reference torque (Te); a maximum-torque-per-current-unit control unit (MTPA) which generates actual reference current (Idse_ref, Iqse_ref) by applying the reference current (Is), as input, of the reference current generation unit; a current controller which generates control reference voltage (Vas_ref, Vbs_ref, Vcs_ref) by applying actual reference current (Idse_ref, Iqse_ref), as input, of the MTPA; and a PWM inverter which outputs current (Ia, Ib, Ic) for driving a motor by applying the control reference voltage as input.
