Disclosed in the present invention is a method for evaluation of a surface runoff storage capacity of river basin green infrastructure. The method comprises: performing standardization processing on the green infrastructure in a river basin, to obtain green infrastructure units; river basin flood hygrographs of slope patches at a given rainstorm frequency, the slope patches being respectively green infrastructure and bare land; and establishing, according to the river basin flood hygrographs, a flood storage capacity of the green infrastructure; and performing analysis and calculation on the flood storage capacity and the green infrastructure units, to obtain a standard value of surface runoff storage of the green infrastructure per unit area. This value can be used as an evaluation index fora surface runoff storage capacity of the green infrastructure. The method of the present invention is highly rational and accurate. Moreover, the obtained standard value for surface runoff storage of the green infrastructure can provide a basis for the selection and layout of green infrastructure in an "ecological sponge" basin.
