The invention relates to a measuring device for determining constituents of a substance mixture which contains at least one compressible and at least one incompressible constituent, the measuring device having a chamber with a first region in which the substance mixture can be arranged and a second region in which a medium can be introduced , having. Between the first region and the second region, a movable piston is provided, wherein by introducing the medium into the second region, the piston is moved in the direction of the first region. The piston has a measuring device for measuring the distance traveled in the chamber, whereby the position of the piston in the chamber can be determined.
