Smoke detector for use on visible parts e.g. walls, has decorative element secured to housing, where decorative element comprises recesses of complementary shape on visible portion that is arranged on front face of visible housing
The detector (1) has a circular or rectangular visible housing (2) comprising an alarm, a smoke sensor, a battery and a signal light (3) that is arranged on a front face (22) of the visible housing. An orifice (4) is located close to the alarm. The housing is partially covered and dimensioned by a decorative element (5). The decorative element is secured to the housing, and comprises recesses (51, 52) of complementary shape on a visible portion that is arranged on front face of the housing. The visible portion is a conspicuous luminous part.
