The method involves carrying out an evaluation under the condition of a trigger condition to a trigger point (4) and analyzing physical measurement or simulation data of the driving behavior of the vehicle. A first phase of the positive load change is evaluated for a response, a second phase of the positive load change is evaluated with respect to a first acceleration jerk and a third phase of the positive load change is evaluated in terms of an acceleration bucking. A longitudinal acceleration (1) of the motor vehicle is determined from the physical measurement or simulation data.
