The method involves determining a path (210) and another path with minimal length between terminals (110, 120), and searching combinations of operating and failure states of components of a multiplexed control and command network for each path such that a transmission via the path is possible. An assembly corresponding to acceptable states of the components is determined from the combinations such that transmission through any of the paths is possible. A probability of failure of the transmission is determined as a function of the combination of the probabilities of the states of the assembly.
