Method for recuperation of excess kinetic energy of hybrid vehicle using recuperation device, involves connecting electric machine to high voltage battery, and determining start time and course of recuperation of excess kinetic energy
The method involves connecting an electric machine to a high voltage battery, and determining the start time and the course of recuperation of excess kinetic energy by monitoring the accelerator pedal (1). The recuperation is initiated when the accelerator pedal returns to the rest position or the driver foot (3) from the accelerator pedal. The time window is opened, when the accelerator pedal returns to the rest position and the energy recuperation is initiated with the process of the time window. The regenerative braking is initiated if the rate of accelerator pedal movement is greater than a predetermined threshold in the direction of the rest position. An independent claim is included for a device for recuperation of excess kinetic energy of an electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle, which comprises a recuperation unit for switching an electric motor in generator operation.
