Method for reducing size of LCD, involves cutting two plates along cut line and non-pressurized portion of LCD along cut line and sealing cut edge of small portion of LCD by adhesive
The method involves determining the small portion (42) of LCD (4) by defining a cut line (S) in pixel area. The pressure is applied to small portion of LCD, with the exception of area of cut line so that the spacing between two plates is reduced. The two plates are cut along the cut line and the non-pressurized portion (44) of the LCD is cut along the cut line. The cut edge of small portion of LCD is sealed by adhesive. The pressure applied on LCD is relieved so that adhesive is drawn between the two plates.
