PURPOSE: A diabetes prevention or treatment food composition is provided to effectively treat or prevent diabetes, and to use ingredients harmless to the human body. CONSTITUTION: A diabetes prevention or treatment food composition contains a Lespedeza maximowiczii extract as an active ingredient. The Lespedeza maximowiczii extract is obtained by using an alcohol solution containing 1-5 carbons. The Lespedeza maximowiczii extract is extracted by a 50-90% methanol solution. Diabetes is type 1 diabetes.
