PURPOSE: A geomagnetic storm forecast system and a method thereof are provided to obtain a corona matter discharge database based on data observed from different satellites and observatories, and to deal with the damage from a geomagnetic storm in advance. CONSTITUTION: A geomagnetic storm forecast system comprises the following: a database(114) for storing data and an automatic detection program(112) of corona matters; a server(110) collecting a corona matter discharge factor using the automatic detection program, and saving the data inputted by a system operator; a geomagnetic storm forecast unit(120) calculating the possibility and the intensity of the expected geomagnetic storm, and the arrival time of the expected geomagnetic storm; and a monitoring device(130) outputting the forecast or a warning for the expected geomagnetic storm.
