PURPOSE: A system with a situation recognition framework and method for preprocessing situation data are provided to abstract each element of an ESN architecture to be used simple. CONSTITUTION: A situation recognition framework is located between an application layer and an ESN(EPC Sensor Network) layer. In an event collector module(67), the situation recognition framework collects an ALE event in real time from an ALE middleware. A business event processor interprets a result by operating a neighboring module according to content of an actually registered BESpec. A server interface module(61) provides an interface between a user and the situation recognition framework. An external system accessor module(68) configures an EPC network except for an ALE middleware. A situation recognition processor module(64) takes charge of context conversion and a deduction function related to a situation recognition function.
