Assembly i.e. exhaust gas recirculation device, function diagnosing method, involves comparing calculated difference with predetermined threshold value, diagnosing function of assembly based on comparison result
The method involves measuring temperature of an exhaust gas recirculation gas circulating in an exhaust gas recirculation duct of an exhaust gas recirculation line (40). A difference between a reference temperature and the measured temperature is calculated, and the calculated difference is compared with a predetermined threshold value. A function of an assembly i.e. exhaust gas recirculation device (2), is diagnosed based on the comparison result. An independent claim is also included for an assembly having an exhaust gas recirculation line and a cooling circuit.
