The couch has a plate (1) with an area for supporting an upper body part of patients. A base is provided for supporting the plate, where the plate has a knee support (51). The knee support has a thigh section (52) that is bent opposite to the upper body part area. The support is adjustable in height and is movable relative to the upper body part area in a longitudinal direction of the couch. An independent claim is also included for a method of supporting of patients with a treatment couch.
