PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten arithmetic processing time in an FDTD computation device for determining spatial and temporal changes in an electric field and magnetic field in a region to be analyzed by dividing the region into a plurality of grid blocks, assigning the electric field and magnetic field to each edge of each divided block and each face of each block respectively and arithmetically solving Maxwell's equations.;SOLUTION: Data read out of an external memory 1 are stored in a buffer memory 2. As for a plurality of blocks constituting a region to be analyzed, out of data corresponding to every other block in the array, data other than data having been stored in the buffer memory 2 and used in the next operations are read. The reading of the data other than the data used in the next operations can reduce the access frequency to the external memory 1 to shorten operation time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
