An adjustable venting system for a pressure casting mold for metals has a meandering path (13) between the removable part (11) of the mold and the fixed part (12). The fixed mounting includes a removable slide (19) with a toothed upper surface supporting a wedge (17) with a corresponding toothed lower surface. To adjust the spacing of the venting path the user simply removes the wedge and adjusts the position of the wedge by one or more tooth spacings in either direction. No other fittings are required and the adjustment has a minimum of down time.
