Consolidating process is for knitted wire product with at least one wire, which forms intersection points at which at least two wire sections lie on top of each other
The wire sections (6,8) are fixed to each other at the intersection points (K1-K4). The wire (4) consists of metal and the sections are joined through soldering, welding, sintering or using an adhesive. The knitted product can be consolidated in sections and several layers of the product can be joined together. Independent claims are made for structural and shaped parts made of knitted wire, and a welding process used in the consolidating process.
