PURPOSE: An LCD device and an electronic apparatus are provided to suppress display inferiority such as a residual image or a stain while supplying an LCD device which can display an optical viewing angle, and to control a direction in which a liquid crystal falls down in a transmissive display area, consequently display uniformity can be realized in both reflective display and transmissive display modes. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal layer(50) is maintained between one pair of substrates(10,25). A transmissive display area(T) and a reflective display area(R) are disposed within one dot area(D1,D2,D3). The liquid crystal layer(50) consists of a liquid crystal having a negative dielectric anisotropy in which an initial alignment state indicates a vertical alignment. An insulating film(24) is formed in the reflective display area(R) to supply a concavo-convex shape to a reflective film(20). The insulating film(24) is formed in the transmissive display area(T), and supplies a concavo-convex shape to the liquid crystal layer(50).
