PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the transmission quality of broadcast signals without increasing the cost of a millimeter wave transmitting/receiving system for wirelessly transmission the broadcast signals received by a broadcast receiving antenna to a terminal after once frequency-converting the broadcast signals to a millimeter wave band, by stabilizing the level of broadcast signals in a millimeter wave transmitter without using the broadcast signals.;SOLUTION: The system has a millimeter wave transmitter 30 for up-converting BS/SC-IF signals to a millimeter wave band to wirelessly transmit them, and a millimeter wave receiver 50 for receiving and down-converging the transmitted radio waves to restore the BS/CS-IF signals. Further, the system comprises a pilot signal generator circuit 28 provided in a converter 20 of a BS/CS antenna for transmitting a pilot signal to a terminal. The millimeter wave transmitter 30 and the millimeter wave receiver 50 respectively comprise AGC circuits 46, 66 for automatically controlling the gains of amplifier circuits 33, 57, based on the pilot signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
