PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast signal transmitting system using millimeter waves in which it is not necessary to lay a coaxial cable and wide-band broadcast signals can be transmitted.;SOLUTION: A BS/CS antenna 10 receives radio waves from a JSAT-3 satellite 1, a JSAT-4 satellite 2, a BS satellite 3 and a 110° CS satellite 4, converts the radio waves into IF signals through a converter and outputs them to a millimeter wave transmitter 20. The millimeter wave transmitter 20 divides each IF signal for each satellite into a plurality of bands, converts them into millimeter bands, adds local signals thereto and transmits them while changing polarization planes. A millimeter wave receiver 30 that is provided on the side of every subscriber in the system, receives the signal from the millimeter wave transmitter 20, uses a local signal in the received signal to convert the millimeter wave into the original IF signal and outputs the IF signal to a CS tuner 33. The CS tuner 33 selects a television signal of a desired channel out of the IF signals outputted from the millimeter wave receiver 30 and outputs the television signal to a television receiver 36.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
