An identification module (102) is set up and integrated with a control input device (101) for controlling an aircraft based on navigational information entered manually. Identification information is detected and the identity of an authorized pilot is verified via a security module (103). If the identity of an authorized pilot cannot be verified, the control input device is blocked. Control can pass to an autopilot or ground control. An Independent claim is also included for a method for controlling the flight position of an aircraft.
