The method for digital transmission, storage, or processing of an analog signal involves reducing the effect of quantising noise by addition of an auxiliary signal prior to digitising. The auxiliary signal is of sine type not interfering with the analog signal. It lies within the digitalised frequency range and is subsequently filtered out. The sine signal frequency does not pref. coincide with the frequency contained in the analog signal. The auxiliary signal frequency does not correlate with the scanning frequency. The auxiliary signal amplitude may be in a relation of 1:4 to max. amplitude of the analog signal. USE/ADVANTAGE - For analog signal digitising. Increased suppression of interference.
