PURPOSE:To vary an impacting force of a type bar extremely easily and securely and obtain a printed matter free from printed spots, by varying a halt position of an adjusting disk. CONSTITUTION:An adjusting disk 27 is rotatably mounted on a shaft 29 fixed to a machine base 1 by metallic fittings 28, and is provided with a plurality of engaging notches 30 at the peripheral surface thereof at positions different in distance from the center. An oscillating rod 31 is oscillatably mounted on the fittings 28 by a shaft screw 32, and an engaging roller 33 for engaging with one of the notches 30 is provided on one end of the rod 31, while a spring 34 is fitted between the other end and a pin 25 of a crank 24. By rotating the adjusting disk 27 through a knob 36, the position of engagement between the notch 30 and the roller 33 on the rod 31 is varied to vary the balt position of the disk 27, whereby the tension of the spring 34 is varied.
