PURPOSE:To provide a rendezvous docking control device having one fail-safe function for the nonconformities of hardware and software. CONSTITUTION:The sensor data 2 of a sensor 1 for detecting the position of a spacecraft and the attitude of the spacecraft relative to a target are processed by sensor signal processing circuits 3 provided in two controllers so as to obtain data 4 on position and relative attitude. The data 4 are inputted to two calculators 5 and the calculators 5 in turn perform several kinds of checking and generate an actuator control signal under normal conditions; in case of abnormalities, the calculators produce a signal indicative of switching a comparison processing circuit 9 and an actuator 12. A control circuit for avoiding collisions is actuated by the above abnormal detection signal 13 output from the comparison processing circuit 9 and estimates the attitude and position of the spacecraft using the data 4 on position and relative attitude, and performs control processing in order to avoid danger.
