The auxiliary device is for fire detection for use with installations of the linear air sampling perforated pipe type connected to a smoke detector which analyses the sampled air. It consists of a thermosensitive element mounted on a a pipe run (1) which transmits in response to a given temperature a product which influences the detector. The device has a bulb, enclosing a substance, which bursts at the given temperature, the volatisation products of the substance influencing the detector. The installation has a whole incorporates a number of conduits (1) sealed at one end and coupled to a common line at their open ends through the detector (2) to an exhaust fan (3).
