A respiratory rhythm adjustment apparatus comprises: an instruction input device; an attachment part 10; and a drive device 20 which has a control unit 60, a stimulation application unit 70, and a sensor 40 for sensing sleep onset in a user, the drive device 20 being connected to the attachment part 10, and the control unit 60 reads a stimulation speed associated with a stimulation region from a storage unit 61, calculates a stimulation candidate deviating a prescribed amount from the stimulation speed and outputs a drive signal that corresponds to the stimulation candidate, and acquires the sensing time from the start of outputting of the drive signal until the onset of sleep is sensed by the sensor 40, and when the sensing time is less than a sleep onset time, the stimulation candidate and the sensing time are stored in the storage unit 61 in association with the stimulation region as a stimulation speed and a sleep onset time.
