    • 摘要: Set of integers, Zn is split into even-odd parts. The even part is arranged in ways, while the odd part fixes one point at a time to compliment the even part thereby forming the semigroup, AZn. Thus, -spaces are filled choosing maximum of two even points at a time. Green’s relations have formed important structures that enhance the algebraic study of transformation semigroups. The semigroup of Alternating Nonnegative Integers for n-even (AZn-even) is shown to have only two D-classes, and there are -classes for n≥4. The cardinality of L-classes is constant. Certain cardinalities and some other properties were derived. The coefficients of the zigzag triples obtained are 1, and . The second and third coefficients can be obtained by zigzag addition.

    • 摘要: The unsolved number theory problem known as the 3x + 1 problem involves sequences of positive integers generated more or less at random that seem to always converge to 1. Here the connection between the first integer (n) and the last (m) of a 3x + 1 sequence is analyzed by means of characteristic zero-one strings. This method is used to achieve some progress on the 3x + 1 problem. In particular, the long-standing conjecture that nontrivial cycles do not exist is virtually proved using probability theory.

    • 摘要: The electrical instability that frequently distinguishes the isolated networks and depends on diesel generators to supply their energy requirements leads to an operation of the diesel generator in a transient dynamic condition and/or at low loads. In addition, extended operation of the diesel generator at partial load develops the condensation of combustion residues on the engine cylinder walls, which, after a certain time, increases friction, reduces the efficiency of the equipment and increases its fuel consumption. On the other hand, recent regulatory changes have led to ever more stringent and evolving emission standards. Among these, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have implemented emission standards in order to reduce exhaust gas emitted by marine diesel engines. To phase lower emission engines as soon as possible, a Tier system was adopted. This paper presents a literature review of existing technologies available to optimize the energy performance of diesel engines and diesel generators in order to reduce the cost of electricity, to increase the diesel engine efficiency and to decrease their fuel consumption and greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions. The proposed optimization methodologies are based on the application of Pre-treatment, Internal treatment and Post-treatment technologies for diesel engines and on the application of mechanical and electrical technologies for diesel power generators (DPGs). The list of references given at the end of the paper should offer aids for students and researchers working in this field.

    • 摘要: Supercharging is the process of supplying air for combustion at a pressure greater than that achieved by natural or atmospheric induction, as applied to internal combustion engines. As a consequence of demonstrated technological, economical and energetic advantages in multiple literature evaluations concerning the large scale wind-compressed air hybrid storage system with gas turbines, the utilization of a hybrid wind-diesel system with compressed air storage (HWDCAS) has been frequently explored. These will mainly have average or small scale application such as the powering of isolated sites. It has been proven in numerous studies that the HWDCAS combined with an additional supercharging of the diesel engines will contribute to the increase of the power and efficiency of the diesel engine, the reduction of both fuel consumption and the emission of greenhouse gases (GHG). This article presents the obtained results from experimental validation of the selected design with an aim to valorize this innovative solution and become trustworthy.

    • 摘要: Comoros Islands suffering from energy stress due to rolling power cuts in the country mainly due to problems with failures heat engines fuelled with diesel. These blackouts induce shortages of energy while demand for energy does not cease to grow with the population. An alternative way for the Comoros Islands to get out of this energy crisis is to exploit the existing energy renewable sources, in particular to invest in the hybrid energy, a promising technology in terms of economic efficiency. The north of Ngazidja Island, in the region of Mitsamiouli, is considered among the economic lungs of this Island. It is spread in the field of tourism but also an area developed in agriculture and fishing. The Village of Koua Mitsamiouli located in rural area of this region is well known for its efficient yield in agricultural production, although the latter suffers from an energy stress in its last years. This lack of energy and water permanently to farmers has caused its production capacity to fall. In order to increase its agricultural profitability, and to satisfy the needs of the population for their activities such as trade, health, education, banking transactions, product preserving in retail stores, the energy autonomy of this village is more than necessary. It is important to notice that, the use of renewable energies in Comoros is very limited by photovoltaic (PV) solar panels. Hybrid technology and other renewable energy sources are not yet developed in Comoros Island. The main objective of this work is to propose the best possible sizing of a hybrid system for the production of electricity from renewable and non-renewable energy resources in order to satisfy the electrical needs in a reliable manner of the remote of village, Koua Mitsamiouli, for energetic autonomy. Indeed, two energy resources, composed by solar photovoltaic (PV) system and diesel generator are considered in the hybrid system. This study estimates the community demand with HOMER analysis. In order to check the performance of the overall system combination photovoltaic (PV)/generator, several numerical simulations were performed with the HOMER software using data from the national meteorological agency in Comoros and the results obtained by authors are satisfactory in terms of cost and reliability of the system.

    • 摘要: The symmetry group of a given differential equation is the group of transformations that translate the solutions of the equation into solutions. If the infinitesimal generators of symmetry groups of systems of partial differential equations are known, the symmetry group can be used to explicitly find particular types of solutions that are invariant with respect to the symmetry group of the system. The class of invariant solutions includes exact solutions that have direct mathematical or physical meaning. In this paper, using the well-known infinitesimal generators of some symmetry groups of the two-dimensional heat conduction equation, solutions are found that are invariant with respect to these groups. It is considered cases when conductivity coefficients of the two-dimensional heat conduction equation are power functions of temperature and conductivity coefficients are exponential functions of temperature. In first case invariant solutions contain well known self-similar solutions which are widely used in applications.
