    • 摘要: The polarimetric radar network in Jiangsu Province has just been operationalized since 2020.The first intense precipitation event observed by this polarimetric radar network and disdrometer occurred during August 28-29,2020 and caused severe flooding and serious damage in eastern Jiangsu Province.The microphysics and kinetics for this heavy precipitation convective storm is diagnosed in this study,in order to promote the application of this polarimetric radar network.Drop size distribution(DSD)of this event is estimated from measurements of a ground disdrometer,and the corresponding three-dimensional atmospheric microphysical features are obtained from the multiple polarimetric radars.According to features of updraft and lighting,the evolution of the convective storm is divided into four stages:developing,mature with lightning,mature without lightning and dissipating.The DSD of this event is featured by a large number of raindrops and a considerable number of large raindrops.The microphysical characteristics are similar to those of warm-rain process,and ice-phase microphysical processes are active in the mature stages.The composite vertical structure of the convective storm indicates that deep ZDR and KDP columns coincide with strong updrafts during both mature stages.The hierarchical microphysical structure retrieved by the Hydrometeor Identification Algorithm(HID)shows that depositional growth has occurred above the melting level,and aggregation is the most widespread ice-phase process at the-10°Clevel or higher.During negative lightning activity,the presence of strongest updrafts and a large amount of ice-phase graupel by riming between the 0°Cand-35°Clayers generate strong negative electric fields within the cloud.These convective storms are typical warm clouds with very high precipitation efficiency,which cause high concentration of raindrops,especially the presence of large raindrops within a short period of time.The ice-phase microphysical processes above the melting layer also play an important role in the triggering and enhancing of precipitation.

    • 摘要: In high voltage networks for the transport of electrical energy, lightning, a phenomenon as dangerous as it is impressive, with an easily recognizable form, can affect a power line by striking either a phase conductor, a tower or a guard cable, thus causing more dangerous and constraining stresses on the lines for its proper operation. Thus, this article aims to analyze the behavior of a HV line during an atmospheric discharge and assess the spatial and temporal distribution of the lightning current wave. For this purpose, the generalities on the transmissible power in case of link without resistance and the modeling of the atmospheric surge propagation established on the basis of the theory of the lines with distributed constants implementing the wave equation known as the Alembert equation have been developed. Through this research, we are interested in the study of the space-time distribution of the lightning current wave in order to model the radiated electromagnetic field and to examine the influence of the atmospheric discharge induced overvoltage on the transportable power of a High Voltage AC Transmission line, for a good selective protection in order to illuminate the parasites. The 2D simulation based on engineering and “Transmission Line” models have been developed as well as the verification of the coherence of the different models, by comparing the fractal dimensions of the program results with those of the experimentally obtained figures.

    • 摘要: Using meteorological data of Anhui Meteorological Bureau,based on the multi-level fuzzy comprehensive analysis method,this paper preliminarily explores the main types and various influencing factors of regional meteorological disasters related to hotel buildings in the Dabie Mountain Scenic Area,and puts forward suggestions on how to deal with the risk of meteorological disasters in the scenic area,in order to provide a better understanding of the Dabie Mountains.It provides a theoretical basis for better response to meteorological disaster decision-making in the development of the scenic spot,and also hopes to provide reference for other Dabie Mountain scenic spots in Hubei and Henan.The research results show that the main types of meteorological disasters faced by hotel buildings in the Dabie Mountain Scenic Area are:rainstorm,thunder and lightning,heavy fog,and snow disaster.The occurrence frequency of various disasters is higher than that of the plains,and the intensity is higher.Due to the high altitude of the hotel buildings,the soil resistivity has obvious mutation or stratification.The terrain surrounded by mountains on three sides often becomes a good conductor of lightning,and the risk of lightning strikes is high,and the lighting weather is frequent.The Dabie Mountain Scenic Area is prone to heavy fog,frost,snow disaster and other weather due to its high altitude,high air humidity and low temperature.Hotels in the Dabie Mountain Scenic Area should effectively deal with meteorological disasters and reduce losses by formulating disaster prevention plans,strengthening lightning protection engineering measures for hotel buildings,and regularly testing and maintaining the lightning protection devices installed in hotels.

    • 摘要: This article focuses on the aggression of lightning overload on the equipment of the electrical network of sites where storm activity is very dense;and the electrocution of people located in the direct environment of the high-voltage substation during the flow of lightning current to the ground through the ground socket. The modeling of the flow circuit of the shock wave consisting of guard wire, lightning arrester and ground socket couple to the transformer of the high voltage substations, thanks to the approach of a servo block, led to the synthesis of a PID regulator (corrector) whose action is to reject the effects of the overvoltage on the network equipment and to significantly reduce or even cancel the effects of the step or touch voltage due to the distribution of the potential around the ground socket;and thus improve the quality of service of the high-voltage transmission and distribution electricity network, especially in stormy times.

    • 摘要: Based on LIS/OTD gridded lightning climatology data,ERA5 reanalysis data,and MODIS atmosphere monthly global products,we examined latitudinal and daily variations of lightning activity over land,offshore areas,open sea,and all marine areas(i.e.,the aggregate of open sea and offshore areas)for different seasons over the Pacific Ocean and the adjacent land areas at 65°N-50°S,99°E-78°W,and analysed the relationships of lightning activity with CAPE(Convective Available Potential Energy)and AOD(Aerosol Optical Depth).At any given latitude,the lightning density is the highest over land,followed by offshore areas,all marine areas and the open sea in sequence.The lightning density over land is approximately an order of magnitude greater than that over all marine areas.Lightning activity over land,offshore areas,open sea,and all marine areas varies with season.The diurnal variation of lightning density over land has a single-peak pattern.Over the offshore area,open sea,and all marine areas,lightning densities have two maxima per day.The magnitude of the daily variation in mean lightning density is the largest over land and the smallest over the open sea.The lightning density over the Pacific Ocean and adjacent land areas is significantly and positively correlated with CAPE.The correlation is the strongest over land and the weakest over the open sea.Cloud Base Height(CBH)may affect the efficiency of CAPE conversion to updraft.CAPE has a positive effect on lightning activity and has a greater impact on land than on the ocean.Over the sea,both CAPE and AOD can contribute to lightning activity,but the magnitudes of the influence of CAPE and AOD on lightning activity remain to be determined.Lightning activity over land and sea is a result of the combined action of AOD and CAPE.
