Application of digital engineering technologies to production preparations has yielded significant results as shown in Figure 16. The time required for evaluating interference between fixture and tool has been reduced significantly, from seven days to one day. Our studies have revealed that the digital engineering technologies enable construction of a highly profitable, easy-to-operate production line in a short period of time.
