摘要

In Translation is an interactive application that takes an alternative visual approach to translating languages using colors and shapes. The visual output reveals aspects of everyday language that most of the time go unnoticed but are intrinsic to language and meaning. In Translation combines concepts from both traditional Info Viz research and the Visual Arts to create an audience-focused, interactive learning experience. It is a computer-based application that viewers can use to generate and compare visualizations of chosen texts from 9 different languages that use the Roman alphabet.
