摘要

Due to the increasing of the piracy cases all over the world, the danger in maritime transport has increased. To prevent the losses, the owners and the maritime companies must take preventive actions/measures. One of these actions is the implementation at a global level of Long Range Identification and Tracking system (LRIT). In order to do so, it is necessary that the implementation of the system to be a unitary one everywhere, in order to be easy to implement and access it on time, to allow rapid answers and to deter the piracy acts. The decreasing of piracy acts will conduct to decreasing the maritime transport costs.
