摘要

Non-metallic inclusios are a major cause of defects in aluminium semi-finished products.For the removal of inclusions different filtration system are usd in the cast house.In a three year research porgramme th efficiency and performance of bed filters,tube filters and ceramic foam filters were investigated under porductin conditions.This paper presents a summary of the achieved results ocncernign the filtration efiicnecy of the different filter types relating to filter size fand fillter porosity.Additionally,the influence of melt flow rate,iinclusion type,incoming inclusion level and inclusion diameter on the fitration results are proesented.Finally,rescommendations re given concernign the use of the different filter types with respects to porduct demands.
