摘要

The goal of this paper is to examine recent improvements in light truck/passenger car axle center efficiency driven by advancements in bearing design. Analytical and experimental evidence will be used to critically compare alternative design options. In addition, improvement of NVH characteristics through increased bearing system thermal stability in aluminum axles will be examined.
