摘要

Financial expenditure, the present state of information and human resources of Nigerian special libraries are discussed. Resource sharing by inter-lending among the special libraries and the inadequacies of the present method are reviewed. Problems of information dissemination in the libraries are identified. A formalized nationwide functional special library network is proposed. Problems to be encountered in establishing the network and their possible solutions are discussed. The prospects of a nationwide network of the special libraries are then examined.
