Consideration is being given to the process of GaSb(Te) directional crystallization by the vertical Bridgman method on the Polyzon facility with axisymmetric heating mainly from the top. Investigations have been performed within the framework of ground-based elaboration of the space experiment on GaSb(Te) crystal growth. Crystallization was performed at uniform stirring of the temperature profile along an ampoule with a sample through control of temperature regimes of three Polyzon heating units. Therewith no mechanical translation of an ampoule with respect to heating units was observed, and vibrations from the travelling mechanism were eliminitated. Marangoni convection was absent. Mathematical simulation of nonstationary crystallization has been performed with the KARMA batch. Computated have been heat and mass transfer processes in a melt and GaSb:Te crystallization parameters depending on temperature conditions on the ampoule surface. Also considered has been the effect of the rotating magnetic field. Results of the space experiment have been forecast.
