This paper revealed the basic principle of bio-pulping technology and reported the application of bio-pulping technology to kenaf bark/E. binala. The results indicated that the high-efficient bacterium not only could directly remove non-cellulose as high as 25.9% of the raw material, but also has a potential to help remove 13.23 % of non-cellulose in the following low concentration alkali treatment. Compared to traditional chemical method, auxiliary material, energy consumption, and production cost could be reduced by 54.55%, 33.8%, and 23.45%, respectively. The harvest of fine pulp can be increased by 5 % with bio-pulping. The process we adopted has the properties of reducing production cost, increasing output, improving fiber quality, and decreasing environmental pollution.
