General Directorate of Traffic has realised an exhaustive audit of the RDS-TMC service inrnSpain. From the creation of the nowadays Location Database in 1999 substantial changes inrnthe road network has emerged and new documentation coming from international agreementsrnhas appeared regarding the creation and distribution of the TMC location databases. The goalrnof the following paper is the presentation of the work carried out in Spain in order to apply therninternational standards to the reality of the Spanish Road Network, and, achieve a high qualityrnALERT C service according to the present Spanish roads and the last European achievements.
