摘要

Taurine content in commonly used mushrooms was determined by an automated amino acid analyzer based on ion-exchange chromatography. Taurine was eluted between phosphoserine and phospho-ethanolamine as distinct and symmetrical peak on the chromatogram. Most of the mushroos examined Ganoderma lucidum Karst contained taurine in the range fo 3.7-83 mivmoles/100g wt. Flammulina velutipes ocntained the highest level of taurine among the mushrooms tested, and most probably among the land plants. Agaricus bisporus an lentinus edodes contained relatievly high level of taurine, in the range of 49-65 mivmoles/100g fresh wt. Oyster mushroom and pleurotus ostreatus contained 8.9+&-0.7 and 3.7+&-0.3 mivmoles taurine/100g fresh wt. Dried samples of Juda's ear and Manna Lichen contained 19.5+*-2.1 and 9.3+*-1.5 mivoles taurine/100g wt. High taurine content wih no cholesterol of mushrooms makes them excellent candidates for a hypocholesterolemicagent.
