Information technology can promote the change of teaching mode. Blending teaching based on the online education mode can realize the integration of online and offline teaching, combine the advantages inside and outside class, promote active learning, and effectively improve teaching results. Starting from the survey and analysis of college English course, this article integrated the SPOC teaching mode into the process of college English teaching, and combined online and offline blending teaching. The study showed that the SPOC based online and offline blending teaching mode could provide rich and high- quality learning resources, individualized course design and evaluation for college English learners, and give play to their learning initiative through various forms of interaction, which could effectively improve the outcome of college English teaching.
