摘要

This study is devoted to predicting damage of detached shell structures of the process industry under blast load caused by an explosion outside the object. A typical example illustrating this problem are large vertical storage tanks. As they are detached and extremely high-walled, and cannot be effectively protected in a usual way, it is useful to know their survivability in the above mentioned case.
